Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie July 20Angelina Jolie admits that there is a side of her that’s not exactly “sane,” but Brad Pitt has helped her become a better person.

Angelina’s interest in starring in Salt came partially from identifying with the character, Evelyn Salt.

“I loved that she wasn’t completely good. There’s something about that,” Jolie told USA Today. “Not to say that’s me”

“But there’s certainly a side of me that isn’t completely… sane,” she chooses. “Or completely ‘even’ all the time. We all have our dark sides.”

Rest in Peace, Dixie Carter

http://www.retroland.com/retrotalk/userfiles/dixie%20carter.jpg

News of the incredibly sad passing of Dixie Carter immediately took me back the late ’80s/early ’90s and watching Designing Women episodes with my mom. In other words, mother and gay son bonding at its finest! Carter, of course, played Julia Sugarbaker, the elegant but hotheaded owner of Sugarbaker Designs. If you were an avid viewer of Women, you know that Julia losing her temper in an episode was as safe a bet as Delta Burke’s Suzanne Sugarbaker saying something incredibly offensive. I mean, the other characters actually referred to Julia as “The Terminator.” Carter’s performance was strong, sassy, and deliciously Southern. Here are my picks for her five best Designing Women moments. But of course feel free to share your own favorite Carter/Women moments in the comments section.

Gwyneth Paltrow? Binging and boozing?

Yes, the star admits in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar that she let loose while filming Love Don’t Let Me Down. "I was so bad with the food and alcohol in Nashville," she explains of the two-month shoot she just wrapped in Tennessee.

She even talks a little about her husband, Coldplay’s Chris Martin: "He is so great because he’s so supportive of me as an artist. He loves the fact that I’m working and was so fulfilled by this job that I did in Nashville. He’s my biggest supporter. He’s always like, ‘We’ll make it work.’ I really lucked out with him.
