It feels like almost a foregone conclusion that Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner would submit “Far Away Places” for writing consideration. For one, it’s likely the most structurally daring hour of television we’ll see this year, a triptych of stories that take place over the course of a single day, interweaving and folding back on themselves with elegance and an almost outrageous narrative confidence. Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser are not only involved on Mad Men, they’re actually a couple when the cameras aren’t rolling. Our friends over at Crushable have the scoop, courtesy of a source boarding the same JFK->LAX flight as the dapper duo.

Bledel who attended the 27th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards at NYU Skirball Center on May 6th in New York, recently told AMC that she was a bit nervous about filming love scenes, but praised Kartheiser for making the process a bit easier. ”I was really nervous. [laughs] Yeah… [Vincent] noticed, and made it much better for me by just sort of making sure I felt comfortable. He kind of helped me take the edge off a little bit just by being nice.”Read More
