Friends, we haven’t seen Katie Holmes smile like that since…well, I don’t think ever, actually. Clearly this is one of those divorces where Katie comes out looking 10 times happier and prettier at the end of it.
The actress was spotted at NYC restaurant Nomad last night enjoying an evening with a mystery man. No word on who he is, but judging by their body language I’m guessing they’re not thinking of getting romantic. Too bad Suri wasn’t there to keep mommy company. Those two are just so cute together.
We still have no word on the what the Katie/Tom Cruise divorce settlement entails, other than Katie’s freedom and happiness. I wonder how Tom feels about all of this? We gotta get some pictures of Mr. Cruise looking all smiles with friends. Hear that Tom? Get on it!

Tom Cruise was spotted kissing co-star Olga Kurylenko while filming on the set of Oblivion. They were shooting right next to a spaceship, something Cruise is probably personally pretty comfortable with, right?
Times have been tough for Cruise, what with the divorce, Katie Holmes gaining primary custody, and the crazy amount of child support he’ll probably be paying. He’s been keeping it professional, only taking off a weekend off work following the divorce announcement and otherwise remaining focused on his work.
Cruise hasn’t seen Suri for about a month now, but what can you do when she’s living on the other side of the country with her mom? I’m not the biggest Tom Cruise fan, but I still think he should be able to see his own daughter, and see her soon. Time’ll tell!

Katie Holmes, 33, gave an interview to Elle magazine mid-May, just six weeks before she went public with her decision to split with Tom Cruise– and in it, she seems to hint at the impending divorce.
“I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier. I think in my 20s, it’s like you’re trying too hard to figure everything out,” she said in the magazine’s August issue of enjoying her 30s. “I’m starting to come into my own. It’s like a new phase. He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am, and where I am, and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that.”
Holmes, seen here this morning, after shopping at Whole Foods, adds that though her main priority is the couple’s daughter, Suri, 6, she’s looking forward to more professional opportunities, even if there are some challenges along the way.
