When Jessica Simpson covered People Magazine with daughter Maxwell Johnson, she told the magazine that her aim wasn’t to get beach ready. ”It would be nice to feel comfortable in a bikini, but that’s not my goal,” Simpson, 31, said. ”I just want to fit into jeans!”
It appears that the relentless taunting and prodding about her baby weight has gotten to Simpson. So much so that she posted a message on Twitter to set the record straight on her lucrative deal with Weight Watchers.
“Just so everyone knows…Weight Watchers hasn’t put ANY pressure on me! I’m trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!” Simpson tweeted yesterday (June 27th).

So a couple years ago, John Mayer made some pretty racy (and racist) comments to Playboy magazine about two years ago. Like, things like his relationship with Jessica Simpson was like “sexual napalm” and his d*ck was “sort of like a white supremacist.” Then, he gave another interview to Rolling Stone, which was also pretty sexually explicit, claiming a bad breakup as the cause.
Uh-huh. Sure. Okay, John, whatever you say. It gets better, of course. He says that this was all connected to his whole failed stand-up attempt, which he’s since reflected: ”I never would’ve been on the cover of Rolling Stone if someone had seen me do eight minutes on stage.” You think?
So when it came time to do these interviews, Mayer confessed, “I had nothing to say– I was going through a time in my life where I didn’t really want to share what was going on, but I didn’t want to be boring.” Ironic, actually: being a total d-bag is a fast way to become irrelevant and maintain a low-profile, just fyi.
Mayer was spotted having lunch with television personality Andy Cohen for lunch in New York City on Sunday, and will be on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live tomorrow. Mayer is likely promoting his comeback album, “Born and Raised,” which releases today. Uh… good luck. You’ll need it.
Will you be buying Mayer’s new album?
