Kate Moss and friends celebrate her hen do at the Isle of Wight festival

Kate Moss is whooping it up at her bacchanalian hen party this weekend, a full three weeks before her wedding – which should just about give her time to recover.
Kate, 37, and her pals, aided by a posse of hangers-on, drank 120 bottles of exclusive Mahiki rum at the Isle of Wight rock festival on Friday night . . . and then she had to have another 180 bottles helicoptered in.
They are also downing magnums of Cristal champagne, plus bottles of Grey Goose vodka and Tanqueray gin from the three-day festival’s organisers, who have also given Kate a VIP backstage party area.
‘There are about 30 of them on the hen do, plus the hangers-on, but, even so, they have got through an alarming amount of alcohol,’ said a source. ‘Apparently they have been necking the rum straight.’
Kate, who has an eight-year-old daughter, is marrying The Kills’ guitarist Jamie Hince, 42, on 2 July.
She is said to have hired Thelma Madine, the dressmaker in Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, to design meringue-like outfits for her pals, who were told to wear pink and have been sporting ‘Kate’s Hen-Do’ T-shirts.

The group includes Kate’s mother, designer Sadie Frost, actress Samantha Morton, model Annabelle Nielson, Agent Provocateur co-founder Serena Rees, singer Lisa Moorish, fashion editor Katy England, heiress Daphne Guinness, fiance Jamie’s bandmate Alison Mosshart, Noel Gallagher’s former wife Meg Mathews and Clash guitarist Paul Simonon’s wife Trish.
Kate was sent 20 complimentary crates of £24.99-a-bottle Mahiki, a favourite of Princes William and Harry, which is made by the Mayfair nightclub of the same name and is so exclusive it does not go on public sale until later this month.

That was supposed to last the hen party the whole weekend. But by Saturday morning it was all gone and the nightclub was asked to helicopter out 30 more crates, each containing six bottles.
‘The club has its own helicopter, so it was pretty easy to get another 30 crates down,’ said a source.
Kate also brought her private chef to cook fish and chips, plus fry-ups for breakfast. On Friday night they boogied to Kings of Leon and Kaiser Chiefs. Last night it was Foo Fighters and Pulp and tonight they will see Kasabian top the bill.
‘It’s fantastic for the festival that Kate’s there and she is being well looked after,’ said a source. ‘She was adamant she must have her own area backstage and plenty of booze. She’s had a great weekend.’
